This recipe makes a large crock pot size amount – enough for 8-10 servings. I cook mine in a Dutch Oven which easily transfers from the stove top to the oven and reduces cooking time to two hours vs. 4-6. If you plan to use a Dutch Oven, pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees. If you want to use a crock-pot this also works, however cooking time will be 4-6 hours on high.
