Since I spend so much of my time with athletes either in my practice or working out, I can hardly go a day without talking about electrolytes (minerals) and hydration. Basic knowledge tells us that we need to be hydrated, but balancing our body fluids for proper health can become yet another issue altogether.
Hydration is linked intimately with electrolyte concentrations (Na, K, Cl, Ca, Mg). Fluid losses as little as 1-2% of body weight can cause a drop in cellular electrolytes, while losses exceeding 4% of body weight can cause critical loss of electrolytes. Realizing this, people drink more and more water. But things get worse when drinking primarily or exclusively water. Consuming water without electrolytes replaces fluid losses, but dilutes electrolytes (minerals). Mineral deficiencies (volume depletion) are the primary effect of fluid loss.
Volume depletion is the loss of both water and salts from cell volume. Although volume depletion is obviously associated with dehydration, dehydration is not the same as volume depletion, because dehydration refers to water loss without salt loss. Volume depletion can exist with or without dehydration.
Hydrating with water alone will lead to critical mineral loss at the cellular level and can lead to cramping. bonking and even more critical issues such as organ failure.
Oxidative Stress: Oxidative stress occurs when oxygen-based free radicals (molecules that can strip electrons) damage cells and tissue within the body. Oxidative stress causes over100 human diseases. Hydroxyl free radicals are dangerous free radicals in biology. They can cause DNA mutation and the transformation of cells that lead to cancer.
ORP – Oxidation Reduction Potential: ORP is the measure of the availability of electrons (measured as an electrical charge) in a solution such as water. Negative ORP values in a solution have the ability to reduce the destructive nature of free radicals in the body.
How do you balance all these issues? Delicately. One of our Solutions – Statlyte Plus™
What is the best way to replace minerals at the cellular level, reduce free radicals, and hydrate the cells? Safe and easy to use, Statlyte Plus™ should be part of everyone’s individual nutritional supplementation. One teaspoon of Statlyte Plus™ into a liter of water releases stabilized hydrogen, the neutralizer that simply converts free radicals into water molecules, balanced minerals, and diminishes the water cluster size for maximum cellular penetration.
Hydration Energy SugarFree Electrolyte Formula Focus Repair
Statlyte Plus™ should be part of everyone’s nutritional protocol. Its unique sugarfree electrolyte formula offers the best way to replace minerals, reduce free radicals and hydrate cells. Statlyte Plus™ is flavorless, easy to take and is formulated for people of all ages.
Our goal is to provide the knowledge and tools for people to make lasting changes in their health and their lives. Since we work to reverse diabetes and help people move from a state of dis-ease into vitality, it is hard for us to endorse the high sugar replenishment drinks. Rather, we would like to offer a more educated approach to the specific sugars that your bodies use in the creation of ATP and a balancing of the nutrients rather than just through protein at it. Don’t forget, the minerals will create that balance in this delicate environment we call electrolytes. Are you cramping? Let’s talk about it.
